We will share the “Adventure” and the rich history, as you travel along the coastline of Nova Scotia. Explore lighthouses, quaint fishing villages, ancient churches, lobster pounds, fishing piers, 19th century homes, and unique rock beaches. Outstanding photo opportunities along Nova Scotia’s stunning coastline, in a natural, relaxing atmosphere with local guides.

With five stops on tour:

  1. Stop at “Cape Forchu” lighthouse and explore inside original light keepers house, where lunch is served. (View two lighthouses on your tour.)
  2. Stop at Saint Ambrose Cathedral with 40 ft.stain glass windows and unique history.
  3. Stop at Stanley’s live lobster pound, see thousands of pounds of live lobsters and view the enormous 12 lb. lobster.
  4. Walk the pier, tour working lobster vessel, learn about the modern lobster fishery.
  5. Stop at a beautiful rock beach, and listen to ancient shipwreck stories.

After meeting your guide at the terminal, you will be taken back in time to when the first settlers arrived. Hear the towns interesting history as an important seaport in the late 1800's.  Your first stop is a dockside visit, where you will walk the pier, tour local working lobster vessels, and learn about one of the most lucrative lobster fisheries in the world.

View serene white sand beaches, beautiful wild roses, and hear local stories of lighthouses and shipwrecks.

Then its on to Stanley’s live lobster pound where thousands of pounds of live lobster are held and resold around the world. Explore inside with the owner as he explains the business. View the 12 pound lobster (Lester) and take a photo with your family of this incredible giant. Stanley’s lobster will steam you a fresh lobster, that you can take to the lighthouse and sit on a picnic bench and enjoy, while viewing the Atlantic Ocean.(weather permitting) Ask your tour guide for details when you arrive in Nova Scotia (lobster not included with tour)

Looming on a weather beaten and natural formed rocks, is the Cape Forchu lighthouse, in one of the most scenic areas of Nova Scotia. The light keepers original house is there to explore inside of, with friendly guides to answer any questions and where homemade soup, sandwiches and desserts are served.. Maybe just browse the gift shops, or sit on a picnic bench and admire the Atlantic Ocean.

Stop at a beautiful rock beach, where there are millions of beautifully smooth and colorful rocks, to choose from, or have your picture taken in “Neptune” the giant driftwood chair.  Stand in the observation tower for a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean.

We will tour the modern town of Yarmouth and the old seafaring district with numerous ancient homes from the past, with many architectural designs from around the world.

Last stop is a breath taking guided view inside historically acclaimed, Saint Ambrose Cathedral. Built in 1889 with 40 ft. detailed stain glassed windows, you will relive the history and beauty inside this very important landmark. (Tour may vary due to unforseen circumstances)
